Thru Da Lenz!

Thru Da Lenz!: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Da Lenz Youth Media is a youth driven, multi-media program representing Villaways and Glendower Neighborhoods of Toronto. The program involves fifteen selected youth participants ranging in age from 13 to 20. They meet weekly to explore, extract and analyze the social, economical, educational and other youth identified issues plaguing them and their communities. Under the instruction of creative directors/program managers Yvette Martin and Simon Elliott, Andrea Roberts the selected youth are learning how to write, direct, produce videos, vignettes and documentaries to relay their findings and messages through their weekly blog. Initiated by Art Starts’ Program Director Katherine Earl and Program Manager Sarah Bothwell and funded by the Social Investment Funds grant, this exciting Art Starts program will be followed by a series of exhibits in the GTA.

Hi my name is George Crooks I like to ride bikes and play around with motors and other kind of electronics . kind of things. My favourite colour is red n blue . I enjoy playing basket ball , soccer , and other kinds of sports . In the future I would like to have my own bike and electronics and many more for later on in life so that I could be good at something in life.

Malik:

My name is Malik, I love to draw. If I have the chance to make a cartoon show I would take it. I am good in school, not a trouble maker. I have a lot of friends in my school and some go to other schools. My dream is to be a man with a great family and a nice home with a good paying job. This is just a little bit about me, I could out more on to this sheet but it would never end.
